Passion is what keeps a man going and I have a few that keep me ready to run this race called life daily.The main core of my existence is the English language and writing or reading it in any form.I am not claiming any literary credentials,but just stating my passion for the language.Even as a child,I never had stage fear and was always in the front to speak in public.I have had prizes in many extempore speaking event and quizzes ,etc.This later became a liking to write in any form and it manifested itself in many forms.This blog is one.
Music is food for the soul and makes me forget even the toughest pressures that I face .I have had formal training in carnatic music as a child and like to sing and hear songs whenever possible.My interest in music grew manifold when A R Rahman arrived on the scene and took Indian music to the world.I am and will always be a fan .
Nothing gets my adrenalin going like a good and closely fought cricket match, whatever the duration.My favourites are Sourav Ganguly,Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni in that order.I was part of the millions that lost their senses when India lifted the World Cup.
Social Media has given me my identity and standing today ,I owe quite a lot of things in my life to twitter and linkedin.The immense power that social media platforms give our thoughts is amazing.On social media,there is a new breed of celebrities, you and me .
Other small but in no way minor likes of mine are
- Sipping hot coffee on a rainy day
- Sipping cold coffee on a sunny day
- Singing just one line from twenty songs in sequence without a break
- Watching movies back to back through the night on Fridays
- Talking to friends over the phone for hours and really discussing nothing
- Helping someone who does not know me and silently moving away
- Emptying ink from my fountain pen and pretending to smear someone with it
And stuff like that …
