Me ?
I am a full time rambler and a part time blogger . I have been on Social Media for the better part of the last three years.That does not make me a Social Media guru ,I have no claims to being one.Just another guy on Twitter with a blog of his own.I love twitter and the power it puts in the hands of the common man .I believe that Twitter makes every common man a celebrity and increases his/her networking potential exponentially.
I am a qualified Software Engineering specialist.I have an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and a Masters degree in Software Engineering.I have been in the Software /IT sector for more than 15 years now. I began my career as an IT support guy at a large network where they had many hundreds of users and the same number of machines.I learnt the ropes well and went on to become a Systems Programmer.I was a developer and then a Team Lead for a team that was writing software for a large multinational bank.Then the my interest turned to networking and I moved to the domain of Network Management and optimization . The biggest challenge that I have faced and solved in this domain is having to do a full implementation of all layers of applications for a large telecom operator in the US. I have also worked extensively for the DoD in the US and delivered operations optimization tools to them.
Currently I am having a lot of fun heading the technology and software development team for an energetic company that specializes in internet presence,collaboration and digital brand building.The main platforms that I work on here are the .NET framework and the Opensource PHP stuff .
Looking back always make me sigh at the length and breadth of my journey, but looking ahead is always fun and full of challenges.
